Since around the time of this years Super Bowl I can't help but notice the aggressive and misleading tactics of companmies like Questrade. In summary, its all smoke and mirrors. They advertise solely on the topic of "fees" and because of them, you are sacrificing your retirement nest egg. In reality though, you are sacrificing returns and receiving no advice for support.
I have attached a piece that outlines Fidelity’s managed portfolios next to Questrade since their inception in 2014
So if you could have had the support of a financial advisor, and still ended up with more money in your pocket even before accounting for the incredible value that comes from advice…why would anybody go with “lower fees” at Questrade? And lets not forget tax efficiency... Questrade is dropping the ball and preying on mis-informed investors to help them succeed.
